House of Representatives of the FBiH today on confirming Marin Vukoje as judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH!

(Patria) - Delegates of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH (PFBiH) should vote today on the election of Marin Vukoje as judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He is the only proposal that the Commission for Elections and Appointments of the House of Representatives voted on on May 21, which met with strong resistance from the opposition and the public.

The House of Representatives, although the Constitution states that it elects the judge, will today effectively confirm or not confirm Vukoje's appointment.

Yesterday, Denis Bećirović, Chairman of the Presidency, also spoke, saying that delegates should not vote for Vukoje because it is against the Constitution.

Željko Komšić also expressed his position, stating that Vukoje could be elected because "Dragan Čović is demanding it and because the Troika, i.e., the SDP, which is my biggest disappointment in this whole story, promised Čović that they would elect Vukoje."

The opposition believes that the delegates of the Troika must respect the position of two members of the BiH Presidency who represent the majority political will of the citizens of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is planned that delegates will consider, under urgent procedure, the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance.

Also on the proposed agenda of the House of Representatives session is the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Allocation and Direction of Part of the Revenue of Enterprises Generated by Using Hydro-Accumulation Facilities under an abbreviated procedure, as well as the Draft Law on Liquidation Procedure.

Delegates should also declare themselves on the strategy for the prevention and fight against domestic violence for the period 2024-2027.
