House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament on the migrant crisis: Break for harmonizing conclusions

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A stormy, at times quite nervous debate among the deputies of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament on the migrant crisis in USK, as well as in the rest of BiH, has concluded.

The discussion was about the ethnic composition of the territories where migrant reception centers will be located, the controversial nature of the proposed conclusions, and similar issues.

It was stated that state institutions must engage further.

After the debate, the Prime Minister of USK, Mustafa Ružnić, addressed the deputies once again, stating that he is the prime minister of all citizens and that everyone has a problem.”

“Someone mentioned that it would not be good to form a coordination body that would bring together commissioners and ministers. We have such a body in RS and at the state level. The problem arises in the territory of FBiH. This problem that USK has today, any other canton will have tomorrow,” said Ružnić.

Ružnić adds that when they seek support from other Ministries of Internal Affairs, they must provide accommodation, fuel, etc., and instead, he says, everyone should do their job in their own backyard.

“Regarding public transport, look at Croatia and Serbia, it is not possible. Those who have a permit and have undergone a medical examination can move, but those who have not are a big problem, and we request that they do not move organized towards USK. BiH received 9.5 million euros for migration management, and IOM and UNHCR distributed it. BiH did not receive funds, while USK received one ambulance and 160,000 KM for police forces.

“We have not collapsed, but we are already facing another problem, we have floods,” concluded Ružnić.

After that, a one-hour break was given to harmonize the proposed conclusions.
