House of Representatives of FBiH Adopts Conclusions on Migrant Crisis

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After a two-hour break, the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH, dedicated to the migrant crisis in USC, as well as in FBiH and Bosnia and Herzegovina, continued.

After the collegium meeting with all proponents of the conclusions, joint conclusions were voted on.

In order to distribute the burden of the migrant crisis evenly across BiH, the House of Representatives requests the Council of Ministers of BiH to urgently develop a Strategy for managing the migrant crisis in BiH.
 
In order to ensure social cohesion and equal rights of citizens of USC compared to other cantons in FBiH, as well as the rights and dignity of migrants and refugees, the House of Representatives most strongly condemns all forms of hate speech.
 
The House of Representatives requests the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the Council of Ministers of BiH to further engage in protecting the state border in cooperation with all police and security agencies in BiH.
 
The House of Representatives demands that the Government of FBiH allocate 4 million KM from the current grant for healthcare needs and the establishment of a favorable security situation in USC.
 
The House of Representatives requests the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH to initiate procedures for amending the Law on Foreigners, which would change the provisions related to the limitation of the number of persons who can seek asylum in BiH.
  
The aforementioned conclusions were adopted with 68 votes in favor and no votes against or abstentions. 

It is interesting that the representatives of HDZ BiH were not in the hall during the vote. 

“This is a message to the citizens so they know they are not alone, and this is a great encouragement. Thank you very much,” said Nermina Ćemalović, Minister of Health, after the session. 

The thematic session has concluded, and afterwards, the session on the Proposal of the Resolution of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH regarding the ICTY verdict against Radovan Karadžić began.
