Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank d.d. provided 90 New Year's gift packages for the Association, which were given to the association's members. Today's action is the first of three planned donations. In the coming days, a donation of 60 New Year's gift packages will be realized for the Association of Parents of Children with Special Needs “Mali svijet“ Lukavac, and a monetary donation will be realized for the Pazarić Institute.
- This is the month of giving, and we are proud of the initiative to give New Year's gift packages to children from the Sluh association. The donation campaigns that Hypo Bank conducts continuously are a source of pride for us employees, and we deeply believe that socially responsible action represents a necessary strategic orientation for every company - said Štefica Kutleša Krešić, head of the Hypo branch office Mostar – Rondo.
The Sluh Association was founded in 1955 and has 350 members, of which about 90 are children with partial or complete hearing loss. The main goal of the association is the inclusion of deaf and hard of hearing people and raising awareness about the problems they face daily. The association particularly emphasizes the importance of knowing sign language and the need for a greater number of sign language interpreters who would facilitate daily activities for deaf and hard of hearing people.
