SDA Presidency divided over mandate: Osmanović to challenge Zvizdić after all

The Presidency of the Party of Democratic Action will decide on the name of the mandate-holder for the new composition of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina at tomorrow's session, writes the Patria news agency.

Before the session, the Personnel Commission, headed by Asim Sarajlić, will also meet. Although the SDA Collegium emerged from the session held two nights ago with the position that the mandate-holder is Denis Zvizdić, Patria learns that his opponent Adil Osmanović will not easily give up this position.

A majority of the Collegium believes that people from the party's top leadership (vice-presidents) should also take on the greatest share of responsibility by accepting the most responsible functions in the executive branch. This information was not made public; instead, it was stated that the only candidate for mandate-holder is Zvizdić.

- Someone would like to bypass people from the party's top leadership, and have those from the second or third tier come to positions in the state or federal government. Osmanović remains Zvizdić's opponent, although we are aware that there will be a vote override in the Personnel Commission as well as at the Presidency session itself, our source from the top of the SDA tells us.
