Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on an official visit to the Vatican and Pope Leo XIV

(Patria) - Members of the BiH Presidency will meet with Pope Leo XIV and the Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations of the Vatican Secretariat of State, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the BiH Presidency announced.

Let us recall, earlier there were disagreements regarding the planned visit of the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Vatican, after the members tried to organize separate meetings with the Pope.

The Vatican then decided to cancel all individual audiences, and a joint invitation was sent to the members of the Presidency, with the message that the Pope wishes to receive the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina exclusively at a joint meeting.

This is the first time since 2018 that the Vatican has insisted on a joint meeting of all members of the BiH Presidency. The last joint meeting was held when Dragan Čović, Mladen Ivanić, and Bakir Izetbegović held their duties.
