Ferhet Smailagić and his wife Emira, who lived in the Kaarst region of Neuss, also died in the plane crash that occurred yesterday afternoon in the French Alps, writes the bh. news agency Patria.
However, it is interesting that only a small number of people from Neuss knew the Smailagićs, even though about 150 people of Bosnian origin live in that German city.

The president of the Cultural and Sports Association "Bosnia and Herzegovina" in Neuss, Nusret Sabotić, told the Patria agency that it was strange to him that he did not know the Smailagićs, whom the media claim are from Neuss, even though Sabotić has lived there for 23 years.
- About 150 people of Bosnian origin live here, and it is very strange to me that I didn't know him, because we are all like friends here - said Sabotić, adding that in any case, he is sorry for all those who perished in the plane crash, especially the Smailagićs who turned out to be of Bosnian origin.
The Airbus A320 with 144 passengers and six crew members crashed in the Digne region, in southern France, in an alpine area.
The plane was owned by Germanwings and was flying on the Barcelona-Düsseldorf route.
This company also operates flights from Sarajevo, writes Patria.
