President of the European Council to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina: 'I am addressing you today as future members of the European Union'

(Patria) - President of the European Council Antonio Costa addressed the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina today with a video message on the occasion of Europe Day.

Costa's address was shared on his X platform by the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Ambassador Luigi Soreca.

"Dear citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I am addressing you today as future members of the European Union.

On Europe Day, we celebrate our common European project, when our founders chose unity over division, and cooperation over conflict.

They decided to build a future of peace, freedom, and prosperity on the ashes of World War II.

We believe that your future lies in the European Union.

The EU🇪🇺 is committed to Bosnia and Herzegovina's future in the EU at the very highest levels. For #EuropeDay, @eucopresident Antonio Costa delivered a special message to BiH citizens:
