President of the European Council Antonio Costa arrives in Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 1

(Patria) - President of the European Council, António Costa, will travel to the Western Balkans next week (June 1–5) to meet with regional leaders and co-chair the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Tivat, Montenegro (June 5).

President Costa will discuss opportunities and challenges related to enlargement, gradual integration, regional cooperation, security and stability.

 Ahead of the visit, President Costa stated:

„My second visit to the Western Balkans sends a clear signal: the EU's commitment to this region is real; as real as the opportunity for enlargement. The momentum is there. Now is the time to deliver results.“

 He will begin his visit in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, June 1, 2026, where he will meet with the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as with the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Borjana Krišto.
