(Patria) - Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar sent a letter of thanks to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić for our country's help and solidarity with Slovenia during the devastating floods.
We are publishing the letter in its entirety:
"Dear Mr. Chairman of the Presidency, please allow me to sincerely thank you on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and on my own behalf for all the support and expressions of solidarity we received from Bosnia and Herzegovina during the devastating floods in Slovenia, which claimed several lives and left many people homeless.
The floods caused enormous damage in our country, unprecedented in its recent history. Their consequences are currently immeasurable, but we can see unimaginable images of devastated affected areas. Increasingly frequent and larger natural disasters warn us of the great importance of mutual aid and solidarity.
I am very happy to see how many countries value these principles and how many responded to our call for help. Please allow me to thank you once again for all the support, which we greatly appreciate in these difficult times for Slovenia.
Please accept, dear Mr. Chairman of the Presidency, the assurances of my highest consideration.
