Detention proposed for suspects in cruel murder in Sarajevo's Dobrinja settlement

(Patria) - Investigating prosecutors of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office have proposed to the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo that Nikola Pranjić, Armin Šljiva, and Dino Ćorić be detained for one month. The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office suspects them of the criminal offense of murder in a treacherous and cruel manner, committed in Sarajevo's Dobrinja settlement.

Detention has been proposed for them due to the risk that the suspects might repeat the criminal offense if they remain at liberty.

They are suspected of physically abusing the 36-year-old victim for several hours between April 12 and 13 in his apartment in Sarajevo's Dobrinja settlement, inflicting injuries to his head and entire body with their hands, feet, a metal rod, and a shoehorn, after which they threw him from the balcony, from the sixth floor at a height of about 19.5 meters, while he was helpless.

The victim died as a result of the injuries sustained. The investigation in this case is ongoing.
