(Patria) - The Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, will address a session of the United Nations Security Council in New York today, on the occasion of the High Representative in BiH Christian Schmidt's Report on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The United Nations session begins at 4:00 PM Bosnian time, according to the Public Relations Service of the Presidency of BiH.
Schmidt's report covers the period from October 16, 2025, to April 15 of this year and defines the key challenges and political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the previous six months.
We remind you that after almost five years in the position of High Representative, Christian Schmidt made a personal decision to end his service in the implementation of peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He informed the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council of his decision and requested that the process of appointing his successor begin. He emphasized that he will continue to perform the duties of the High Representative during the process of electing his successor.
