The basketball arena in Berlin was evacuated an hour before the start of the match between Serbia and Italy, reports the Patria News Agency.
All visitors had to leave the Mercedes-Benz Arena and move across the street, while their belongings remained in the hall. The organizers of EuroBasket in Berlin announced that the fire alarm had sounded, but witnesses on the ground did not see any fire or smoke.
After the fire department arrived, the situation was resolved, and visitors were allowed back into the Arena after about 15 minutes.
The duel between Serbia and Italy starts at 2:30 PM, and this match will decide who will be first in group B, reports B92.
