Famous travel writer disappointed with Chennai: 'The worst place I have ever been'

(Patria) - Although I have seen many dirty, dangerous and unusual cities so far, Chennai is the worst place I have ever been in my life, says famous travel writer Robert Dacešin about the fourth-largest city in southeastern India.

Robert points out that he will never return to the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, reports Punkufer.

Chennai - also known as Madras, which was its official name until 1996, is one of India's busiest ports and the largest railway hub in the southern part of the country.

Unfriendliness, poverty, an unpleasant feeling on the streets and among people in general, as well as chaotic traffic, are just some of the reasons why Chennai is not recommended.

- I will definitely return to India to visit the famous Taj Mahal, Jaipur, Bombay or Goa, but I would never recommend Chennai to you, starting with the fact that there is nothing to do, everything is somehow miserable and worn out, and the energy of the place is generally very bad.

I know it is not nice to call a city the worst, but besides all the beautiful things I usually talk about, I feel the need to sometimes draw your attention to these not-so-nice things I see around me - added Robert Dacešin.
