“In the settlement of Bačevići, a fire broke out today that is rapidly spreading towards the area of Jasenica. The terrain is inaccessible, and there is a barracks nearby, as well as a number of unexploded ordnance. The extinguishing will certainly last for several more hours,” said the Mostar Professional Fire Brigade.

A total of 14 firefighters and six vehicles from the Professional Fire Brigade have been engaged, while 10 firefighters and three vehicles from volunteer associations are assisting.

At one point, the fire moved towards houses, but its spread towards the settlement was prevented. There is currently no danger to people or private property.

The Mostar Professional Fire Brigade also stated that there were several interventions today, but that the only active fire at the moment is near the settlement of Bačevići.
