Injured RAD workers, Minister Bečarević demands urgent action

(Patria) - An accident occurred last night at KJKP RAD d.o.o. caused by the breakage of a platform for workers standing at the rear of the vehicle, where the container emptying opening is located.

Two workers were seriously/lightly injured, and only KJKP RAD d.o.o. knows the severity of the injuries because this ministry does not have official information, as the responsible persons from KJKP RAD d.o.o. do not feel the need to inform us.

"According to the information I have, it happened on a Renault vehicle that was purchased a few months ago. 

Dear Sir/Madam, does a "dead head need to fall" for someone to react? I have reported all irregularities to your office and submitted documentation on the appointments of acting directors who have been appointed for the fifth time for 6 months each. During this time, public procurement procedures for vehicles, spare parts, etc. are being carried out, and then an accident happens.

What else needs to happen under the leadership of the acting director who has met the conditions for retirement for months? 

Should the prices of KJKP RAD d.o.o. services be increased by 60%-70% for the acting director to be better off in procuring "this and that", states the relevant minister Almir Bečarević.

He demanded urgent action because he is receiving information that many drivers are refusing to sign orders when vehicles leave the company premises due to technical deficiencies.

"I demand that you immediately conduct a review of all procurements of vehicles and spare parts, given that I am receiving information that the vehicles were procured in a suspicious manner and do not meet standards, which we can also see from this case of worker injury. 

The entire management of KJKP RAD d.o.o. was appointed illegally, and I don't know what needs to be checked when the laws are clear. They have been appointed as acting officials for 30 months.  Finally, I demand urgent action because, according to all information, there is no one in charge at KJKP RAD d.o.o. to organize the system; instead, everything is chaotic and driven by interests, and now workers have also started to suffer", states Bečarević.
