Favourable weather conditions and moderate traffic are conducive to smooth traffic flow on roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Patria news agency.
We note that with the start of the new school year, there is an increased number of children on the streets, so we call on drivers to exercise extra caution and strictly adhere to speed limits, especially near schools.
Due to repair works on expansion joints on two bridges on the A-1 motorway section Podlugovi-Sarajevo north, traffic is (over a length of approximately 4 km) moving in both directions, using the right lane.
Due to road damage on the M-5 main road Transit through Sarajevo, the traffic regime has been changed. Vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes and buses from the direction of Pale use the alternative route Bistrik-Hamdije Kreševljakovića-Terezija-Vraca, while for all other vehicles the alternative route is through the city. From the opposite direction, vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes and buses use the route Dolac Malta- Azize Šaćirbegović-Vraca intersection-Terezija-Bistrik, and for all other vehicles the alternative route is through the city.
Traffic is also slower on other sections where repair works are being carried out, notably on the road routes: Jajce-Banja Luka, Konjic-Jablanica, Jablanica-Prozor, Čapljina-Stolac and Doboj Gračanica.
At border crossings, waiting times are no longer than 20 minutes, BIHAMK reported.
