Favorable Driving Conditions, Increased Traffic Volume

(Patria) - On most roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina, driving is on dry and occasionally wet roads. Driving conditions are favorable, and traffic volume is increased. We appeal to drivers to adjust their driving and speed to the road conditions, and to pay special attention when passing through school and residential zones. We also ask other traffic participants to adhere to traffic regulations.

Movement of all vehicles across the bridge on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road is prohibited. Vehicles with a total weight of up to 3.5 tons can use the roads via Grepak or Kalinovik (there is 19 km of unpaved road), while trucks must use the roads via Rogatica and Ustipraca.

Construction of a noise barrier is underway on the A-1 Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi highway section, due to which traffic is diverted to the overtaking lane.

Due to soil monitoring work on the A-1 Sarajevo zapad-Lepenica highway section, in the area of the Lepenica interchange and the Igman tunnel, traffic is two-way, using the right lane.

On the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.

Traffic for all vehicles is suspended on the Šamac-Grebnica main road due to the repair of a railway crossing. Alternative routes are in use.

There are no long delays for passenger vehicles at border crossings.

Due to passenger registration under the new European Union entry and exit system (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer delays may occur at border crossings.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. From December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing will be open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
