Increased revenue collection, number of employees also growing

(Patria) - The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH informs the public that taxpayers of the Federation of BiH paid 5,901,848,851 BAM in public revenues in the period January – September 2024, which is an increase of 443,307,116 BAM, or 8.12%, compared to January – September 2023.

The table below shows the payments of public revenues in the period January – September 2024 compared to January – September 2023 by canton:

In the structure of public revenues for the period January – September 2024:
- income tax and arrears of personal income tax were collected in the amount of 567,229,514 BAM,
- profit tax and arrears of profit tax were collected in the amount of 530,617,778 BAM,
- tax on the transfer of real estate and rights was collected in the amount of 69,490,221 BAM,
- property tax, inheritance and gift tax was collected in the amount of 39,503,575 BAM,
- arrears of other taxes were collected in the amount of 345,337 BAM,
- fees and charges were collected in the amount of 580,860,684 BAM,
- fines were collected in the amount of 51,616,065 BAM,
- membership fees were collected in the amount of 13,233,824 BAM,
- other public revenues were collected in the amount of 2,899,375 BAM.

In the period January-September 2024, contributions for pension and disability insurance, health insurance, and contributions for unemployment were collected in the total amount of 4,045,702,574 BAM.

In the structure of contributions in the period January-September 2024, the following were collected:
- contributions for PIO/MIO in the amount of 2,262,782,567 BAM,
- contributions for health insurance in the amount of 1,596,817,734 BAM,
- contributions for unemployment insurance in the amount of 186,102,273 BAM. 
 
Number of employees in the Federation of BiH

The number of employees according to the place of residence of the employee as of September 30, 2024, is 550,801. Compared to the published data on the number of employees as of September 30, 2023, when the number of employees was 543,863, this number is higher by 6,938, and compared to the previously published data on the number of employees as of August 31, 2024, when it was 545,192, it is higher by 5,609.

As of September 30, 2024, in the Federation of BiH, there are 306,895 employed men, or 55.72%, and 243,906 employed women, or 44.28%.

The number of employees up to 35 years of age is 178,667, or 32.44%, and the number of employees older than 36 years is 372,134, or 67.56%.
