Increased number of guests in July: Most overnight stays by Poles, Turks, and Italians

The total number of tourist arrivals in July 2015 was 77,829, which is 58.2% more compared to July 2014, according to data from the Federal Institute of Statistics, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The share of domestic tourists is 19.0%, and foreign tourists 81.0%. The total number of tourist overnight stays in July 2015 was 170,381, which is 73.9% more compared to July 2014.

The share of domestic tourists is 18.3%, and foreign tourists 81.7%.

By type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was achieved in the category Hotels and similar accommodation, with a share of 93.2%.

In the structure of foreign tourist overnight stays, the most overnight stays were achieved by tourists from Poland (15.0%), Turkey (8.5%), Italy (8.4%), other Asian countries (7.4%), and Croatia (5.2%), totaling 44.5%.

Tourists from other countries achieved 45.5% of overnight stays. The number of available beds in July 2015 was 22,880, which is 15.4% more compared to July 2014. The net bed occupancy rate in the Federation of BiH was 24.1%.
