(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sanski Most has confirmed the indictment against the municipal mayor Faris Hasanbegović.
The accused is charged that on January 21, 2021, as an official - the Mayor of the Municipality, aware that he was using his authority to benefit D.M. and create formal conditions to hire D.M. for the position of senior clerk and liquidator in the Municipality's Finance, Treasury, and Common Affairs Service, knowing that D.M. had completed electrical engineering school, he adopted the Rulebook on Amendments and Additions to the Rulebook on the Internal Organization of the Municipality.
In the Rulebook, as a condition regarding professional qualifications for the said position, he added a clause that the candidate, in addition to economic school, must have completed electrical engineering school, even though he knew that this qualification did not correspond to the job description for the position of senior clerk and liquidator.
After amending the Rulebook, the accused issued a Public Advertisement and made a decision on hiring an employee, thereby benefiting D.M. in the form of indefinite employment.
Therefore, the accused, as an official, the Mayor of the Municipality of Sanski Most, knowingly used his official authority and thereby benefited another person, thus committing a criminal offense under Article 383, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
