
At today's roundtable “Healthcare in the returnee community” held in Tuzla, organized by the coalition “Prvi mart”, participants included representatives of relevant ministries, institutes, health centers, civil society associations, as well as citizens who have faced problems in accessing healthcare, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
The roundtable was attended, among others, by Edin Ramić, Federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees, and Dr. Nešad Hotić, Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, and this was an opportunity to discuss the issue of securing additional funds for hospital healthcare for returnees.
Suljo Čakanović, a doctor from Srebrenica, called for the formation of a working body that would initiate concrete steps for permanent healthcare, as well as informing returnees about the rights they can exercise in the entity of RS.
Mirnes Zahirović, from the coalition “Prvi mart”, called for securing additional funds for the budget transfer for returnees in order to finance hospital and specialist-consultative healthcare for returnees through the Solidarity Fund.
