Contracts Signed for Construction of 20 Houses for Families from Donja Jablanica Who Lost Everything in Floods

(Patria) - The Pomozi.ba association announced today the start of house construction in Donja Jablanica and presented the design of the future settlement.

Contracts for the construction of 20 houses were signed in the premises of the Jablanica Municipality with families from Donja Jablanica who lost their homes.



Out of the total number, 16 houses will be built in Donja Jablanica, in a safe location not affected by the floods, while the remaining four will be built on locations chosen by the families themselves.

The new settlement will include two types of residential buildings, adapted to the number of households that will live in them.

"This project has been underway for months, and key steps included the purchase of land in December last year. Given that there were old buildings on the plot, in the next phase, we proceeded with their removal.



However, it was necessary to wait for the completion of the hazard study of the affected area, in order to obtain accurate information about safe and unsafe construction zones.

After the competent institutions finalized the study, we continued with the design of the houses and consultations with the families.

We particularly emphasize the exceptionally good cooperation with the Mayor of Jablanica Municipality, Emir Muratović, and his team, who provided us with significant support regarding administrative permits and all other aspects of this complex project," stated Pomozi.ba.

Since October 4, when devastating floods hit our country, Pomozi.ba teams have been continuously present in the affected areas.



So far, they have helped hundreds of families through financial donations, construction materials, vehicles, appliances, furniture, and other forms of support.

This initiative represents another step towards recovery and ensuring better living conditions for people who have lost their homes.
