Three loan agreements signed between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the World Bank, projects in the entities

(Patria) - The Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH, Srđan Amidžić, and the Head of the World Bank Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, Christopher Sheldon, signed loan agreements for one project in Republika Srpska and 2 projects in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The loan agreement of 35,200,000 euros is intended for additional financing for improving geospatial infrastructure and real estate valuation with the aim of enhancing the accuracy and availability of land administration information in Republika Srpska – the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs. The repayment period is 32 years, including a 7-year grace period.

The loan agreement for the project of improving solid waste management services in the Federation of BiH amounts to 46,000,000 euros with a repayment period of 31 years, including an 8-year grace period. The project will be implemented by the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina through the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism.

For the project of improving transport connectivity and enhancing road asset management, as well as rehabilitating main roads in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the loan amount is 70,000,000 euros with a repayment period of 22 years, including a 12-year grace period. The project will be implemented by the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e., the relevant federal ministry.
