Contract signed for the construction of the south stand of the Grbavica stadium

(Patria) - The Contract for the construction of the south stand of the Grbavica Stadium was signed today at the Grbavica stadium!

As announced by FK Željezničar, the last phase before the start of construction work on the new south stand has been formally completed. The Contract between the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo and the contractor, ITC Zenica company, was signed at the Grbavica Stadium.

The holder and implementer of the project is the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, which successfully completed the public procurement procedure, while the Government of Sarajevo Canton, through the relevant Ministry of Culture and Sports, provided funds in the amount of 4,700,000 KM. The Institute for Construction of Sarajevo Canton will provide expert supervision over the execution of the works.

With the construction of the new South stand, the stadium's capacity will increase by more than 2,500 seats and bring significant improvements, not only in terms of comfort and safety, but also in the functionality of the Grbavica Stadium.

The project includes the construction of a covered parking space and fire escape route under the stand, then multifunctional spaces for fans, sanitary facilities and access for people with mobility impairments, as well as modernized security and service access to the stadium.
