Toplane-Sarajevo facilities ready for heating season start: Due to low temperatures, heating may start earlier

(Patria) - KJKP Toplane-Sarajevo will start supplying thermal energy to the citizens of Sarajevo Canton before October 15, i.e., before the defined deadline, if the average daily temperature is 12 degrees Celsius or lower.

"In accordance with the Decree on General Conditions for the Production, Supply, and Use of Thermal Energy, the facilities and installations of KJKP Toplane-Sarajevo d.o.o. must be technically ready by September 20 of the current year. If it is determined that after September 20, the average daily outdoor air temperature is 12 degrees Celsius or lower, KJKP Toplane-Sarajevo will start supplying thermal energy to the citizens of Sarajevo Canton before October 15, i.e., before the deadline defined by the said decree," the company stated.

KJKP Toplane-Sarajevo emphasized that all thermal energy production and distribution facilities are operationally ready for the start of the upcoming 2025/2026 heating season.

The decree defines that the heating season begins no later than October 15 of the current year and ends no earlier than April 15 of the following year.
