(Patria) - Salaries for 2,700 employees of the University of Sarajevo will be paid today or possibly on Friday, December 13, confirmed KS Prime Minister Nihad Uk for Patria.
He could not provide more details and announced that the relevant Ministry will make a statement on the matter.
We remind you that UNSA employees did not receive their salaries at the same time as other budget users.
As Patria has learned, a session of the KS Government was held this morning, and before the session, a meeting was held attended by the President of the UNSA Trade Union Amir Zahirović and the Deputy President of the UNSA Trade Union, at which an agreement was reached on the payment of salaries. The KS Government delegation included Prime Minister Nihad Uk, Minister of Higher Education Adna Mesihović, and Minister of Finance Afan Kalamujić.
The initial proposal was to release the salaries next week, but the Trade Union clearly demanded that the salaries be paid by the end of the working week.
Minister Mesihović signed the reallocation of funds from the Rectorate to other organizational units that lacked funds for salaries. Yesterday, she disputed the signature of Rector Tarik Zaimović, stating that he is not registered in the court register and that she will not accept his signature, and therefore will not release the salaries.
Otherwise, 13 million KM is needed monthly for the salaries of UNSA employees.
