Employers seek graduate psychologists, pedagogues and winners of the “Golden Badge”

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The number of applications received for six public calls of the Employment Service of Canton Sarajevo, published in mid-November, within the Program on Amendments and Supplements to the Program of Measures for Encouraging Employment and Maintaining a Higher Employment Rate in Canton Sarajevo in 2017 indicates that employers in Canton Sarajevo are most interested in hiring graduate psychologists, pedagogues, social workers, and the best students - winners of the “Golden Badge”.

Namely, for the “Program of co-financing employment of persons trained to work on prevention of juvenile delinquency and/or work with children with special needs”, 70 employers applied, and for the Program of co-financing employment “Golden Badge”, ten employers applied.

The mentioned programs provide for co-financing of employment of 105 unemployed graduate psychologists, pedagogues and social workers, with at least one year of work experience, and 25 best students, winners of the “Golden Badge”, will get a job for one year at one of the ten registered higher education institutions in Canton Sarajevo.

For the public call of the “Program of co-financing employment of 25 trainees - graduate lawyers”, five employers applied.

The goal of the program is to raise the professional competencies of graduate lawyers through work over the next two years, to meet the conditions for taking the professional judicial exam, so that upon completion of the program, graduate lawyers can get a job through self-employment.

Employers in Canton Sarajevo are also interested in the “Program of financing and co-financing employment of 12 persons with disabilities”. Five employers applied for the public call.

The response to the published public calls for training of unemployed persons is small.

Thus, for the “Program of training unemployed persons for self-employment”, ten applications were received, although the program rules provide for co-financing of at least 30 unemployed persons.

The program was designed as an opportunity for retraining of unemployed persons due to technical-technological improvements or economic-structural changes in the labor market, and training was offered in entrepreneurship, marketing and accounting.

For the repeated public call of the “Program of co-financing training for socially sensitive categories of unemployed persons”, not a single application was received.
