Message in silence: Brčko will say goodbye to Erdoan Morankić next week, without politics, just humanly!

(Patria) - Citizens of Brčko District are organizing a peaceful and dignified gathering called "Unity in Silence", which will be held on Monday, February 23, with the aim of honoring the tragically deceased fellow citizen Erdoan Morankić.

This gathering is conceived as an expression of deep solidarity and community compassion with the family of the deceased, but also as a moment of collective mourning, writes Hayat.

The gathering will begin at 12:30 PM at Trg mladih, specifically in front of the City Gallery building (Veselin Masleša building). The organizers have specifically emphasized that this is exclusively a commemorative gathering, not a protest, in order to prevent any misinterpretations of its nature. The primary intention is to solemnly mark the memory of the deceased fellow citizen in a peaceful atmosphere.

According to the established protocol, the gathering will be opened with short and appropriate addresses by selected individuals who will recall the life journey, personality, and contribution that Erdoan Morankić made to his community.

The central part of the commemoration will be a minute of silence, after which a peaceful dispersal of all attendees is planned. For those who wish to leave a personal mark of attention, laying flowers will be possible at a pre-determined and marked location.
In order to preserve the unobtrusive nature of the gathering, the organizers have introduced clear rules of conduct.



It has been emphasized that bringing any banners, signs, or political symbols is not allowed, but only photographs of Erdoan Morankić. Also, all items that could in any way compromise the safety of those present or the dignity of the act itself will be removed.

The main message that the organizers are sending to the citizens of Brčko is an invitation to respect and mutual appreciation. All participants are urged to contribute to the atmosphere of silence and unity with their presence, preserving the memory of the deceased fellow citizen in a manner befitting the difficult time the community is going through.
