Message from Reis-ul-ulema Kavazović: Let's preserve the dignity and sanctity of Bayram

(Patria) - Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community (IZ) in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein-ef. Kavazović sent a message today to Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, homeland countries, and the diaspora on the occasion of the upcoming Kurban-Bajram (Feast of Sacrifice).

"Today is the 9th day of the month of Zul Hijjah - the Day of Arafat, the fundamental pillar of Hajj.
According to our traditional sources, it is the best day of the year. Narrations tell us that on this day, Allah Almighty forgives the largest number of people and frees them from hellfire.

Tomorrow, brothers and sisters, is Bayram, the day of sacrifice, when we sacrifice our kurban,
share the kurban meat with relatives, neighbors, and friends, and spread joy.

Let's spend it with cheerful faces and open hearts, with those we love, and visit the sick, the poor, and the lonely, and bring them something beautiful and dear to them. Let everyone be encompassed by the joy of Bayram.

With prayers, let us also remember our brothers and sisters in Gaza, who are suffering great injustice and pain, and
are facing unimaginable suffering. Let's preserve the dignity and sanctity of Bayram, and do nothing that could diminish its splendor.
