Message of Support: We are all Zenicans

Representatives of several environmental organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a message of solidarity on Tuesday to the citizens of Zenica, who have been fighting against excessive air pollution in this city for several years, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Zenica currently ranks among the most polluted cities in Europe, with its air polluted by the Mittal factory, as well as several smaller polluters.

The citizens of Zenica organized peaceful demonstrations on Sunday, during which they announced a lawsuit against the authorities responsible for resolving their problem.

Several environmental organizations from BiH today offered support to the non-governmental organization Eko forum from Zenica, which is the most vocal in the fight to resolve the catastrophic environmental situation in Zenica, demanding that the authorities urgently address this problem, reports Patria.
