The guards of General Draža sail the Drina. No, this is not the 1940s, this is the year 2024, which was served to us as a historic one in which we would move towards the civilisational values of the European Union, whatever they mean.
Unlike the illusion of EU negotiations, the boat is real, and General Draža's Chetniks are even more real inside it. They are led by an officer of separatism and a contractor for the construction of the Serbian world on this side of the Drina, Milorad Dodik. Those around him are not so important; they are Chetniks, but also followers. Well-paid followers like Nemanja Kusturica, the pawn Nedeljko Elek, and the rest of the group with criminal intentions.
The official anthem of the descent down the Drina, for which the late Abdulah Sidran said was "our Mecca and Medina", was the infamous one about Grandpa Draža's guards. Dodik and his Chetniks thus decided to celebrate the Chetniks and their grandpa on the Drina river, which in the last hundred years has swallowed tens of thousands of Bosniaks, slaughtered under the flag of that same Grandpa Draža.
Chetnik folklore is not foreign to Milorad Dodik, but the time in which he performs it as a partner of the international community and the Sarajevo political bloc Trojka is illusory to explain. "The success of Russia's special operation in Ukraine is also important for us in the RS," said the Chetnik Milorad Dodik recently. We knew that before, because Russia's success increases the possibility that tensions will be transferred to the Balkans, in translation to Bosnia and Kosovo. The dogs of war of the Russian-Serbian world have been announcing this on social networks for some time.
However, while we know what to expect from Milorad Dodik and how to prepare for the best response to the plans he is implementing, the question arises of what we will do with Dodik's partners in Sarajevo.
Where are Nermin Nikšić, Elmedin Konaković and Edin Forto, the leaders of the Trojka project who for two years now have been convincing us that with a "narrative", "compromise" and a "different approach to Dodik" they can use the "momentum" to accelerate the European path and the general progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
They are nowhere to be seen, as if some earthly whirlpool has swallowed them, and they only occasionally poke their heads through the windows of regime media to congratulate us on holidays or announce a better future. And the future they announce is nasty, announced by imposed illusionists stuck in the belief that the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina can be improved with Dodik.
And while nothing much is expected from the deserting soul and non-Bosniak body of Edin Forte, because he is not among those from whom you would expect anything, a reaction should follow from Nikšić and Konaković.
Nikšić is a Partisan from the SDP, so Dodik's Chetnik behaviour on the Drina should be a factor X for launching an operation by the illegal comrades to remove him. Politically, to avoid any misunderstanding. Besides action, the general public expects from Nikšić the apology he publicly announced if Dodik, in a political marriage with Trojka, does not turn into a builder of Bosnia and a lover of Sarajevo parades.
From Konaković, who fought longer than the war lasted, we expect at least a courteous reaction, because he is the head of BiH diplomacy, and the Chetniks, by sailing on the Drina, have violated the inviolability of the territorial integrity of BiH. Konaković was the one who rebelled like a hajduk and went to Aleksandrovac and Banja Luka to persuade Dodik into an alliance at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Given Dodik's mood, I would not advise him to go, but he should at least speak up if, as an experienced soldier, he does not want to respond.
Yesterday I wrote about why Tito cannot come to Sarajevo. It seems the Chetniks have decided to block his path themselves. But I must mention one more thing.
The first ones after Tito and 1945 to unite and tie the flags of the Chetniks and Partisans were the Sarajevo tricolours Nermin Nikšić, Elmedin Konaković and Edin Forto. And that unification of Chetniks and Partisans, both Tito's and this Trojka one, did not work, because they are simply opposite poles of society and cannot be together even ostensibly.
And that is why it is time for the Partisans to withdraw; the Chetniks will easily be brought under control. That is guaranteed to you by the people who brought both Chetniks and Partisans under control when they wanted to destroy and divide Bosnia and Herzegovina!
