(Patria) - Almost two months after the Sarajevo Canton Assembly rejected the report on the work and financial operations of the Public Institution Sarajevo Pharmacy for 2024, the Management Board has not dismissed director Zenaida Hasić.
On the contrary, several applications have been received for the position of director of the Public Institution Sarajevo Pharmacy, which was announced at the beginning of February, including one from Zenaida Hasić!?
The Trade Union of Sarajevo Pharmacy sent a letter on March 17 to the Ministry of Health of the Sarajevo Canton, i.e., to the relevant minister Enis Hasanović (SDP), stating that the Management Board was obliged, in accordance with the Statute, to dismiss the director within 30 days of the report's rejection, and demanding that the Ministry of Health of the Sarajevo Canton dismiss the general director by March 20, 2026, at the latest.
“We demand that the Ministry of Health of the Sarajevo Canton initiate the procedure and dismiss the Management Board of the Public Institution Sarajevo Pharmacy, and that the dismissal procedure be initiated by March 20, 2026, at the latest”.
The Trade Union has indicated that it will file criminal charges against the members of the Management Board of the Public Institution Sarajevo Pharmacy by the end of this week.
“In the event that the situation does not change by 03/20/2026 and the provisions of the Statute of the Public Institution Sarajevo Pharmacy, which represents the most important act of an institution and one of the most important guarantees for employees, are not respected, we will unfortunately have to take legal action against other responsible persons as well”, the request from the Pharmacy Trade Union states.
Incidentally, the director of Sarajevo Pharmacy, Zenaida Hasić, is a figure close to both SDP and certain structures of People and Justice. Hasić herself appeared at a People and Justice rally on February 11 in Sarajevo.

The report of Sarajevo Pharmacy received 17 votes, and among the four abstentions was Mersiha Mehmedagić from People and Justice.
She became the director of the Public Institution Sarajevo Pharmacy in 2021.
Hasić also enjoys political protection from SDP, i.e., its president Nermin Nikšić, given that his son Haris Nikšić is the owner of the company CTK d.o.o. Konjic together with Refik Lepara, the father of Zenaida Hasić, and whose husband Rijad Hasić is a procurator in that company.

The Management Board of Sarajevo Pharmacy includes Vesna Pirija as president, who received consent from the President of the HJPC to perform additional activities, Una Suljić, Alma Kazazić, Ada Huskić (mother is a judge at the Court of BiH), and Alfonz Filipović, who was previously on the Management Board of Sarajevo Pharmacy.
In addition to Hasić, the current Management Board member Una Suljić, Lejla Hodžić, and Tarik Čatić applied for the position of director of Sarajevo Pharmacy.
According to unofficial information from Patria, SDP president Nermin Nikšić suggested that the dismissal of director Hasić be stopped.
