Political Maneuvering: Izetbegović Would Gladly Work with SBB, but Awaits Radončić's Call

SDA President Bakir Izetbegović, after the completed SDA Collegium meeting in Sarajevo today, stated that he would gladly respond to the invitation of SBB leader Fahrudin Radončić for a meeting or a meeting of the delegations of these two parties to discuss possible coalition at the federal level, reports a reporter of the Patria News Agency.  

Izetbegović clarified that SDA will not terminate partnerships with any party with which it has signed an agreement, and for now, these are HDZBiH, DF, BPS, SBiH, and A-sda.

He also said that what HDZ agreed upon with SBB is welcome for SDA, because it would mean that in the FBiH Parliament, along with SBB and HDZ 1990, there would be a two-thirds majority, and important issues such as amending the FBiH Constitution could be addressed.

However, Izetbegović could not say who would fill the ministerial positions from DF if the FBiH Government were to be reconstructed.

- SDA has no intention of forcing anyone out. Let the partners themselves decide whether they are in power or not. But DF also has the Vice President of the FBiH who should also resign if DF decides to leave power. We are ready to share the pie with partners who will truly be partners, Izetbegović emphasized.

He added that regarding the state level, i.e., the Council of Ministers, the Alliance for Change remains a partner, and will continue to be so.

He stressed that SDA will not remove DF from this level, but if they leave power, SDA will respect that and carry out a reconstruction of the Council of Ministers in accordance with the previously signed agreement.

Regarding SNSD, Izetbegović said that this party is assumed only for the federal level and is welcome there, while for the state level, it is clear, they remain partners with the Alliance for Change.

SDA says that A-sda, although it announced earlier, will not abandon the already signed agreement if SBB is accepted as a partner by SDA.
