Political or Professional Route: Where is Corridor 5c Going

(Patria) - Residents of the settlements of Ortiješ, Hodbina, Kosor, Lakiševine and Malo Polje continue their fight for their homes and are gaining increasing support every day.

Today, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Džubur submitted a parliamentary question in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, requesting that documentation proving the possibility of building the corridor over prospective military property, the military airport Ortiješ, be made available for review.

Also requested for review is the documentation regarding the public hearing held on the mentioned highway route and the conclusions from that hearing.

According to procedures, the response to the parliamentary question should be submitted within 60 days. If the Motorways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina fail to provide the requested documentation, it will be completely clear, and now proven, that this public company is working on the Mostar South – Buna highway route illegally and violently. The question remains, on whose orders?

“I was at a gathering in Blagaj that was a presentation, not a public hearing. Nobody asked us anything in 2017, nor now when employees of the Motorways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina illegally enter our vineyards and orchards and mark the imagined highway route,” said Slavko Berberović, a resident of Ortiješ.

It is completely clear, the residents note, that the profession and the people are being ignored, and the route is being planned for political, not financial and sustainable reasons.

“The Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina should act according to the law and prevent ethnic cleansing in the Neretva Valley,” it is further emphasized.
