Attempted murder on the highway near Banja Luka, Milan Novitović the target

(Patria) - Milan Novitović, acting director of the "Drina" Srebrenica Forestry Management, was attacked at the exit of the Banja Luka - Gradiška highway when unknown persons in a car intercepted him, first they shot, and then they smashed his car with baseball bats.

As it was unofficially confirmed to "Nezavisne", Novitović was not injured in the shooting, and the act was qualified as attempted murder. This happened at 2:50 PM.

A search for the attackers is currently underway, and the police have blocked all key points in and around Gradiška.

Otherwise, Milan Novitović was previously the head of the Republican Civil Protection Administration, and then he was the deputy director of this institution.

He was dismissed from the position of deputy director of RUCZ by the Government of Republika Srpska on May 30 this year due to the expiration of the term for which he was appointed.

After his dismissal, he was appointed acting director of the "Drina" Srebrenica Forestry Management, which he currently heads.
