Gas prices to decrease in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - The FBiH Government, at today's telephone session, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Trade, adopted the Decision approving the wholesale price of natural gas, which will be 1.63 percent lower.

The decision approves the wholesale price of natural gas for distribution companies in the FBiH, starting from October 1, 2025, which amounts to 795.67 KM/1,000 Sm³, or 0.79567 KM/Sm³, with a lower heating value of natural gas (Hd=34.075.60 kJ/Sm³).

The price of natural gas does not include value added tax.

The Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and the Federal Ministry of Trade are tasked with implementing this decision, each within their jurisdiction.

As explained, the Federal Ministry of Trade received a request from the company Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo for a change in the wholesale price of natural gas to distribution companies in FBiH, and the opinion of the relevant Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry.

The company Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo states in its request that the new wholesale price of natural gas for distribution companies (privileged tariff customers) should be reduced by 1.63 percent, i.e., from the current 808.85 KM/1,000 Sm³ to 795.67 KM/1,000 Sm³.

Furthermore, the explanation states, among other things, that the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry has given its opinion that there are justified elements for the requested correction, reduction, of the sales price for privileged tariff customers of natural gas.
