Increased vehicle traffic towards the south, take more frequent breaks due to high temperatures

(Patria) - There is increased vehicle traffic on roads leading south. Long columns of vehicles are currently recorded at the entrance to Konjic and Mostar (Sarajevo-Mostar direction).

Due to high daily temperatures, BIHAMK urges drivers to start their journeys in the early morning or evening hours, and to take more frequent breaks during longer trips. We advise cautious driving and avoiding risky overtaking.

The 3rd Bosanska Krupa Una Regatta is being held today, due to which traffic on the M-14 highway between Bosanska Krupa and Srbljani has been suspended since 09:30. Vehicles will be redirected to the regional road Bosanska Krupa-Cazin-Bihać.

Due to construction work on the Bihać-Kamenica section (turn for the business zone), traffic is suspended from 07:00 to 17:00. The alternative route is: Bihać-Vrkašić-Kamenica-Izačić.

Due to rehabilitation works on the Gorica bridge, on the A-1 highway, the left tube of the 1. mart tunnel on the Zenica-Sarajevo section is closed to traffic, and vehicles are driving in both directions through the right tunnel tube.

Given that there are numerous sections with ongoing works, we recommend drivers to plan their journeys in accordance with expected delays.

Traffic is slower due to works during the day on the highways: Vitez-Travnik (Nova Bila), Kiseljak-Busovača, Bijeljina-Šepak, Čitluk-Ljubuški, Livno-Šuica and Ripač-Dubovsko, as well as at the entrance to Bugojno (from the direction of Rostovo), and at the entrance to Hadžići from the M-17 highway.

Due to bridge works in Ilidža (M-17 Stup-Blažuj), traffic from the direction of Blažuj is redirected through the settlement of Lužani, while traffic from the direction of Ilidža is proceeding over the bridge, one lane at a time.

Due to road subsidence at the entrance to Vinac from the direction of Donji Vakuf (M-5/16 Donji Vakuf-Jajce), only one lane is in operation, and the speed is limited to 20 km/h.

On the section of the regional road from Ravno towards the Ljubinje-Trebinje highway (M-6), traffic is suspended and redirected to alternative routes.

Due to rehabilitation works, the bridge at the entrance to Nemila (M-17 connection with R-473) is closed, and vehicles are driving through the intersection in Topčić Polje.

At the Doljani and Gabela Polje border crossings, there is increased vehicle traffic exiting Bosnia and Herzegovina, and at the Bosanska Gradiška and Gradina border crossings, there is increased traffic entering our country. At the border crossings, passenger vehicles do not wait longer than 30 minutes.
