See where traffic will be suspended today from 2:30 PM, public transport operating without interruption

(Patria) - Sarajevo will host a rich program tonight as part of the public New Year's Eve celebration behind Sarajevo City Center, and temporary traffic changes are planned due to the event organization. Jelena Rozga, Dženan Lončarević, and the band Divanhana will entertain the citizens of Sarajevo.

The entrances to the New Year's Eve celebration area will be open on December 31, 2025, at 5:30 PM. Visitors will be able to enter through three entrances – two from Vrbanja Street and one from Kotromanića Street.

As in previous years, a special zone for people with disabilities has been secured, located in the immediate vicinity of the stage. They will enter the venue through the VIP entrance, opposite the Swissotel hotel.

Organizers have emphasized that bringing food and drinks, glass and plastic bottles, cans and liquids, large bags and backpacks, pyrotechnics, weapons, sharp and other potentially dangerous items, as well as anything that could endanger the safety of visitors, is not allowed into the celebration area.

Temporary traffic suspensions will begin today at 2:30 PM and will last until January 1, 2026, at 6:00 AM.

During this period, traffic will be suspended in Kotromanića, Kalmija Baruha, dr. Safeta Mujića, Vrbanja, Mustajbega Fadilpašića streets, on Wilson's Promenade, and on the service road around the shopping center.

In Franje Račkog and dr. Safeta Mujića streets, traffic will operate in both directions, especially in the section redirecting vehicles towards Zmaja od Bosne Street.

Due to the location of this year's celebration, public city transport will not be suspended, and tram and trolleybus traffic will be free until January 4th.
