(Patria) - Dubravko Čampara has submitted his resignation from the position of prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC BiH), confirmed by the HJPC for Patria.
Čampara previously requested confirmation from the HJPC that no proceedings were being conducted against him, with the aim of potentially moving into private legal practice.
We recall, Čampara was part of the team working on the "Milorad Dodik" case, i.e., the attack on the constitutional order, but the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, Milanko Kajganić, removed him after it was published that he had waited for days to send an internal wanted notice to police agencies, which the Court of BiH had approved. Čampara sent the notification to all police agencies six days later.
He was appointed as a prosecutor in 2005 at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo. Since 2009, he has been an employee of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, where he worked as a prosecutor in the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption and the Special Department for War Crimes. He then served as head of the Section for Organized Crime and Terrorism, and from 2016, he headed the Section for Terrorism within the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption.
Kajganić reassigned him back to the War Crimes Department of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, after which Čampara submitted his resignation, thereby avoiding disciplinary proceedings.
As reported by Istraga.ba, a criminal case was also opened against Čampara regarding his actions in several other cases.
