Indictment raised for unauthorized drug trafficking

(Patria) - The accused Vučeraković Željko, (1962) is charged with international smuggling of the narcotic drug cocaine from Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption has raised an indictment against: Vučeraković Željko, born in 1962 in Krnjice, Bar, Montenegro, a citizen of Montenegro, is in detention.

The accused is charged that on 31.01.2020, in order to gain illegal property benefit, in the territory of Montenegro, he procured the heavy narcotic drug cocaine, in the amount of about 250 grams, which is on the List of Narcotic Drugs, and has been declared a narcotic drug by conventions and decisions.

The indictment states that the accused packed the aforementioned quantity of narcotic drug and smuggled it into the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and after the accused was stopped and controlled in the border area between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, police officers found and seized the narcotic drug, and deprived the accused of his liberty. The accused is charged with unauthorized international transfer of a substance declared a narcotic drug by regulation, and committed the criminal offense of Unauthorized Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs from Article 195 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The indictment has been sent for confirmation to the Court of BiH, which has confirmed it.
