UNDER THE BANNER OF THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA Congressmen Keith Self and Suhas Subramanyam spoke with entity president Siniša Karan

(Patria) - American congressmen Keith Self and Suhas Subramanyam, as part of their visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, held a meeting with the president of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan.

At the meeting with Karan, Self and Subramanyam emphasized the importance of cooperation within the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"A strong and prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina, where everyone works together on economic development and progress, is crucial for regional stability and US security interests," the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

As part of their visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Self and Subramanyam met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković, this morning, and yesterday they held meetings at the Presidency of BiH, the Ministry of Defense, the Office of the High Representative (OHR), and the NATO headquarters in Sarajevo.

Regarding the meeting between Minister Konaković and the congressmen, the US Embassy issued a statement:

"A substantive discussion with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH on the Western Balkans and BiH's role in regional stability. The congressmen affirmed US support for BiH's sovereignty and the importance of practical cooperation among all communities. A stable BiH means a more secure Western Balkans and advances US security interests."
