
(Patria) - The EUFOR exercise "Quick Response" will be held from August 24 to September 16, 2024.
The exercise will be conducted in cooperation with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Forces from 23 Althea member states will participate in the exercise. Helicopters and drones will be used.
"On August 24 and 26, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be able to see increased movement of EUFOR vehicles on the roads from the border crossings Klobuk, Metaljka and Svilaj to Čapljina and Butmir base in Sarajevo due to the arrival of EUFOR reserve forces," the EUFOR Public Relations Office in BiH announced.
"These activities are related to the arrival of EUFOR reserve forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the EUFOR forces already present in the country will receive temporary reinforcement in the form of reserve forces from Austria, Hungary and Romania, as well as peacekeeping forces deployed in Kosovo (KFOR) for the 'Quick Response' exercise, EUFOR's large annual training event held from August 24 to September 16, 2024," the statement said.
These convoys will include light and heavy armored vehicles, with the support of local police and escort by international military police.
"EUFOR is a strong, capable and reliable partner and remains committed to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and stable environment," the statement said.
