Construction of new 18 kilometers of highway through BiH begins

The construction of new 18 km of Corridor Vc passing through Bosnia and Herzegovina will soon begin, writes the Patria News Agency.

Highways of FBiH have invited construction companies to submit financial offers for the construction of three highway lots, namely for the Počitelj – Međugorje and Zenica jug – Zenica sjever sections.

A 11-kilometer highway will connect Počitelj with Međugorje, as well as with the rest of Europe via the Dalmatina highway, and the construction of the Zenica jug – Zenica sjever highway section, totaling 7 km, will continue.

For the construction of the Počitelj – Međugorje section, 200 million KM has been secured from the European Investment Bank. For the construction of the Zenica jug – Zenica sjever section, 120 million KM has been secured from the OFID fund, and the procedure for securing 100 million KM from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development is underway.

The Federal Minister of Transport and Communications, Denis Lasić, said that intensive activities on the construction of the Corridor clearly show that the construction of the highway through our country is a priority.

The Director of JP Autoceste FBiH, Ensad Karić, said that he is pleased to announce that JP Autoceste FBiH is completing all preparations for the start of the construction of a new investment cycle on Corridor Vc.

- We are completing land acquisition, funds for construction have been secured, main projects have been completed, and we are finalizing the tender procedure – said Karić. He added that he is even more pleased that this is just the beginning of the construction of a new investment cycle, and they will soon present highway construction projects to the public that, with the support of state institutions, can begin construction by the end of this year, writes NAP.
