Payment of March pensions begins in RS

(Patria) - In Republika Srpska, the payment of March pensions for 267,435 beneficiaries of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of RS begins today. In the Federation of BiH, payments began on Monday, since when movement liberalization for those over 65 has been in effect. 

In the conditions of the state of emergency to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the payment to pensioners over 65 who receive their pension via a bank account will be made with a one-time power of attorney given by the beneficiary to another person for the purpose of withdrawing the pension, or by direct withdrawal of the pension.

Pension payments to beneficiaries over 65 in banks and bank branches in Republika Srpska will be made on specific days – Friday and Tuesday, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, during which time banks, as recommended, work exclusively with pensioners.

The average pension is 393.36 KM and makes up 41.10 percent of the average salary in Republika Srpska. The amount of the lowest pension for 40 or more years of service is 403.71 KM, and for a full insurance period of 40 years, the average pension for March is 576.95 KM. The amount of the highest pension for March is 2,076 KM.
