(Patria) - Payment of pensions for March in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) begins today, confirmed by the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute of FBiH. From today until Friday, between 08:00 and 12:00, pensioners over 65 years of age in the Federation will have the opportunity to go out to collect their pensions and perform necessary shopping.
The Pension and Disability Insurance Institute has announced special arrangements with banks and post offices so that pensioners can receive and collect their pensions without this becoming a cause for the spread of the coronavirus. According to available data, 350,000 pensioners will receive pensions for March, of which 130,000 receive their pensions through banks and are over 65 years old.
The decision to allow persons over 65 to go out to fulfill their obligations is not an invitation for a walk, said the head of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters of FBiH, Fahrudin Solak, at a press conference of representatives of federal institutions.
“Above all, I am referring to the control of the movement of persons over 65. This is not a permit for a walk, but a permit to fulfill their obligations in shops, post offices, and the like. We have asked other citizens not to go out during that period. If we see that the measures are not being respected, we will have to issue other orders, ban other citizens from going out during that period, or revoke the permit for pensioners to go out,” Solak explained.
