Payment of child allowances and maternity benefits for 24,873 beneficiaries begins

The Ministry of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton informs beneficiaries who have exercised rights based on the protection of families with children in the Canton that the payment of July cash benefits to municipal services in their names will begin today, reports the Patria news agency. 

For this purpose, the Ministry has allocated funds in the amount of 2,234,629.34 KM for 24,873 beneficiaries of the right to child allowance, compensation instead of salary for a mother in an employment relationship while absent from work due to pregnancy, childbirth and childcare, financial assistance during pregnancy and childbirth for a mother who is not in an employment relationship, health insurance for child allowance beneficiaries, placement of children in preschool institutions, assistance for child nutrition up to six months and additional nutrition for a nursing mother, and one-time assistance for newborn equipment, the ministry announced.
