One-time aid for pensioners in FBiH at the beginning of August

(Patria) - The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy supports every form of support for our pensioners, especially since we are talking about the most numerous and one of the most vulnerable populations, announced the Federal Minister of Labour and Social Policy Adnan Delić on his Facebook profile.

In this regard, Delić adds, one-time cash benefits to mitigate the effects of rising living costs are certainly welcome as a short-term measure.

"However, what we continuously emphasize is that we see the right and only sustainable solution in amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance.

We will also discuss this tomorrow at the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, where I hope we will reach conclusions that will move towards a real and permanent improvement of the position of our pensioners.

We propose changes based on realistic foundations and fair principles. It is necessary to open a serious dialogue about the sustainability of the pension system, but also about fair treatment of people who have built this country throughout their working lives.

Only in this way can we create policies that do not depend on one-time aid, but enable a dignified life in old age," stated Delić.



He announced that the Government of FBiH will adopt a one-time cash benefit for pensioners in the amount of between 100 and 250 KM at its next session.

The funds have been secured in the budget of the Federation of BiH for 2025, and the payment will be realized together with the pension for the current month, i.e., at the beginning of August.
