Demolition of Feroelektro building in Sarajevo city center begins

The demolition of the Feroelektro building at Mula Mustafe Bašeskije 16 is underway, carried out by employees of the company Drinjaković d.o.o. Sarajevo. The Municipality of Stari Grad, through its Urban Planning Service and based on the Report on the structural condition of the Feroelektro building, issued a demolition order for the building co-owned by the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo with 65% and the company “Kol” d.o.o Sarajevo with 35%, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The order states that this building is completely destroyed, structurally unstable, and poses a danger to human lives and neighboring structures.

After the demolition, a luxury hotel will be built on this site.
