Operation Greece Begins: Dragons Complete First Training Session

The representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina began gathering today at the "Hercegovina" hotel and held their first training session at the FK Sarajevo training center in Butmir, writes Patria.

Today, the following players trained: Edin Džeko, Edin Cocalić, Samir Memišević, Vedad Ibišević, Kenan Kodro, Toni Šunjić, Mato Jajalo, Ervin Zukanović, Ermin Bičakčić, Haris Duljević, Senad Lulić, Sanjin Prcić, Dario Đumić, Miroslav Stevanović, Ibrahim Šehić, and Kenan Pirić.

The Dragons will continue their preparations for Greece with a training session in Butmir tomorrow starting at 11 AM.

Mehmed Baždarević, the BiH coach, said today that "players who did not have matches last night are arriving today".

- Pjanić and Medunjanin will join later because they still have obligations with their clubs. Mostly, individuals have already arrived and we will have 20 players at today's training, and I expect us to be complete on Sunday.

There is certainly reason for optimism and we must all be happy that we are playing such matches. We must approach the match responsibly and seriously. Some players are missing, but it is important that those who have arrived are healthy and that we welcome the match as prepared as possible, which I hope we will play in the best way. Greece is a tough opponent, but we have the strength to achieve a good result - said Baždarević.

The match against Greece will be played on June 9th at the Bilino Polje stadium in Zenica.
